My Trip to Belize & How It Inspired the World of Hermanus.

𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐩 𝐰𝐞𝐧𝐭
I stayed in a small beach town in Belize called Hopkins.
It’s hot, quiet, and right on the water. What stood out most right away was how friendly everyone was.
Belize has a mix of everything. Beaches, reef, and jungle all within reach. You can go from swimming in clear water to being deep in the jungle the same day.
It’s one of those places that actually lives up to what you expect.
𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐩 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝
This trip is what pushed me to start designing clothes inspired by travel.
I took a lot of photos while I was there, and instead of just leaving them on my phone, I wanted to turn them into something physical.
The hoodie below is designed with one of those photos—just trying to capture a moment from the trip in a simple way.
After that, the idea expanded.
I started thinking about how people used to share travel through postcards, and how that doesn’t really happen anymore.
So I’m working on something built around that idea.
